Gear Selector
P: Park
R: Reverse
N: Neutral
L: Low Gear
H: High Gear
To change gears, stop the vehicle,
and with the engine idling, move the
lever to the desired gear. Do not
attempt to shift gears with engine
speed above idle or while the vehicle
is moving.
NOTE: Maintaining shift linkage adjustment is important to assure proper
transmission function. See your dealer if you experience any shifting
problems.
Using Low Range and High Range
CAUTION
Do not attempt to shift the transmission while the vehicle is moving or
damage to the transmission could result. Always shift when the vehicle is
stationary and the engine is at idle.
Condition Range to Use
Operating at speeds less than 7 MPH (11 km/h) Low
Operating in rough terrain or over obstacles Low
Loading the vehicle onto a trailer Low
Towing heavy loads Low
Operating at speeds greater than 7 MPH (11 km/h) High
