PLANETARY DIFFERENTIAL
DISASSEMBLY (TURF MODE MODELS
ONLY)
NOTICE
If the gearcase is completely assembled, perform the
Transmission Disassembly page procedure.
1. Use a scribe to mark the differential cover and ring
gear prior to disassembly.
2. Remove the six screws retaining the differential
cover and remove the cover.
3. Remove the six planet gears and each side gear
assembly from the ring gear.
4. Inspect the female side gear (A), male side gear (B),
planet gears (C) and ring gear (D). Replace
components or bushings as needed. Bushing
replacement can be performed on all necessary
differential components. If bushing replacement is
required, proceed to Planetary Differential Bushing
Replacement (Turf Mode Models Only) page 7.22.
