5. Turn the autoflash on (if desired)
When autoflash is on, the camera automatically determines when
the flash is needed. Use this setting for most of your photos.
A. Turn the camera dial to CAMERA mode (a)
and open the lens cover.
B. Press the Flash on/off button.
A flash icon ( ) appears on
the Status LCD when
autoflash is on.
C. Wait for the Flash-ready light
to stop blinking to take the
photo.
Note: Indoor flash photos are best taken in evenly lit rooms. In these
conditions, you can take flash photos of subjects 3 to 10 feet
from the camera. In dim lighting, keep your subjects 3 to 5 feet
from the camera.
