OWNER’S MANUAL
Should you encounter any problems, contact Customer Service at (888) 919-0070 from 8 AM to 5 PM Mon. thru Fri.
MST. Extended operating days and hours during peak season requirements.
1. First, turn the pump off and unplug the main power cord of the system.
2. Remove the Top Cover
, Strainer Basket and Filter Cartridge
and remove any chlorine tablets left inside the core section of the filter.
3. Loosen all Hose Clamps . Remove the Return Hose and allow water to drain out.
4. Remove the Return Fitting - and clean the parts and lubricate Gasket with petroleum jelly and reassemble all parts then place them in a safe place.
5. Remove the Motor assembly by turning the Motor Seal Nut counter-clockwise. Now clean the pump, dry it off, and then lubricate the Motor Seal
on the motor with petroleum jelly and place it in a safe place.
6. Please refer to illustration on next page to reassemble the motor.
7. Remove the Filter pump canister from liner by turning the Skimmer Seal Ring counter-clockwise. Remove the Weir and Strainer Basket . Clean all
parts and dry them off. Then reassemble the filter cartridge, strainer basket, weir, top cover, etc. onto the canister. Place the assembled unit in a safe place.
8. All items should be stored in a dry environment that remains above 32 degrees Fahrenheit at all times.

SOLUTION
A Plug the GFCI into a 3-wire grounded outlet and press the reset button to turn pump on.
B Reset circuit breaker on electrical panel. If problem persists, have an electrician check circuit.
C Check the line voltage. It must be 105 to 125 AC volts.
A Water level must be between the Min/Max Limit Lines marked on Skimmer canister ring.
B Check for obstructions at strainer basket, filter cartridge, return hose and return fitting.
C Clean or replace cartridge. Spare cartridges make service more convenient.
A Maintain the chlorine level between 1.0 - 1.6ppm.
B Clean or replace cartridge (See page 11). Spare cartridges make service more convenient.
C Maintain the pH level between 7.3 - 7.8.
D Inspect the filter cartridge for holes or tears. If visibly damaged; replace the filter cartridge.
E Check for obstructions at strainer basket, filter cartridge, return hose and return fitting.
G Chemicals are required to maintain clean pool water. Clean pool and filter more often.
F Have water tested at pool supply store. It may be necessary to add other
chemicals due to varying water quality in different localities.
B 1) The Motor Seal must sit in the inner groove in the bottom of the canister before
installing pump (Exception – the SFX1500 only has one groove). 2) Check pump alignment.
The arrow with the indentation on the pump MUST point to the matching indentation on the
canister. 3) Make sure that the Motor Seal Nut (Locking ring) is not cross threaded.
A Make sure the hose clamp is positioned properly over the hose and o-ring to ensure
a proper seal. Adjust hose clamp, check o-ring and retighten.
Check hose for any holes or cracks and replace if needed.
C Make sure the Skimmer Gasket Rubber Seal is installed properly (see page 9 steps 3
& 4). The key feature should be at the top. Make sure the liner is not in the threaded grooves.
No gap should be visible in this area. Screw the Seal Ring tightly onto canister.
