OPERATION OVERVIEW (continued)
Emergency Start with Lithium Batteries
When engine batteries go to sleep, they must be re-
activated in order to use Emergency Start. Follow your
battery manufacturer’s instructions for proper re-activation
or “wake-up” procedures. Once battery has been
re-activated, Emergency Start can be enabled.
NOTE: Emergency Start WILL NOT work if trolling motor
batteries are asleep.
Re-Activating Lithium Trolling Motor Batteries
If your trolling motor batteries go to sleep, running your engine will re-activate them and
begin to charge them via alternator charging.
If this does not work, consult your battery manufacturer for re-activation instructions and
then run engine to charge them via alternator charging.
Using Lithium Batteries in Extreme Cold Temperatures
It is recommended that lithium batteries be covered up with a blanket in cold
temperatures. The sheath where the wires split contains a temperature sensor that will need to be covered as
well. FIG. 3
