7. TROUBLESHOOTING
7.1 Engine will not start
Ground Wire
Spark Plug
Spark Plug Cap
To check spark:
1. Remove the spark plug cap and clean any
dirt from around the spark plug.
2. Remove the spark plug and install the
spark plug in the plug cap.
3. Attach the plug side electrode to your
ground wire.
4. Pull the recoil starter, sparks should jump
across the gap.
If the engine still does not start,
take it to an authorized generator
dealer.

Is there enough oil in the engine?
Is the fuel valve open and the engine switch
on?
Replace the
spark plug.
Add the recommended oil.
Open the fuel valve and turn the engine switch
on.

Is there a spark from the spark plug?
Is there fuel in the tank?
Refuel the fuel tank.

 Be sure there is no spilled fuel
around the spark plug.
 Spilled fuel may ignite.
