STORAGE
Before storage, the fuel tank should be emptied and the engine thoroughly cleaned. Store the engine in a dry, clean
room.
The bolts with clamps are used to mount the outboard to the boat. Before each setting out, check the condition of the
engine assembly (eliminate any clearances). Additionally, the engine should be secured with a rope or chain in case
of damage to the mounting. On most engines, the mounting bracket is usually bolted to the transom. This is a more
secure method, but requires more frequent and more thorough checking for correct mounting.
IN THE EVENT OF AN ENGINE FLOOR
A flooded engine must be immediately subjected to a detailed service inspection. For this purpose, contact the
Powermat service center.
PRE-LEAKAGE CONTROL
Perform an engine health check before each journey.
a) Make sure you have sufficient battery power.
b) Check all bolts and nuts for tightness.
c) Make sure you have enough life jackets.
