BELTADJUSTMENT
Youmayneedtoadjusttherunningbeltduringthefirstfewweeksofuse.Allrunningbeltsareproperly
setatthefactory.Itmaystretchorbeoffcentreafteruse.Stretchingisnormalduringthebreak‐in
period.
Adjustingthebelttension
Iftherunningbeltfeelsasthoughitisslippingorhesitatingwhenyouplaceyourfootonitduringarun,
thetensionontherunningbeltmayhavetobeincreased.Toincreasetherunningbelttension:
1. Startthetreadmillwithoutanyoneontherunningbelt,pressSPEED+buttonuntilspeedreaches5,6
km/h.
2. Placeawrenchontheleftadjustmentscrew.Turnthewrenchclockwise1/4turntodrawtherear
rollerandincreasethebelttension.
3.Repeatstep2fortherightadjustmentscrew.Youmustbesuretoturnbothboltsthesamenumber
ofturns,sotherearrollerwillremainsquarerelativetotheframe.
4. Repeatstep2andstep3untiltheslippingiseliminated.
Note:becarefulnottotightentherunningbelttensiontoomuchasyoucancreateexcessive
pressureonthefrontandrearrollerbearings.Anexcessivelytightenedrunningbeltmaydamage
therollerbearingsresultinginbearingnoisefromthefrontandrearrollers.
Centeringtherunningbelt
Whenyourun,youmayplacemorepressureonthebeltwithonefootthanwithanother.Theseverity
ofthisdeflectiondependsontheamountofforcethatonefootexertsinrelationtotheother.This
deflectioncancausethebelttomoveoff‐centre.Thisdeflectionisnormalandtherunningbeltwill
centrewhennobodyisontherunningbelt.
Iftherunningbeltremainsconsistentlyoff‐centre,youwillneedtocentretherunningbeltmanually:
1. Placethedeviceonalevelsurface.
2. Startthetreadmillwithoutanyoneontherunningbelt,pressSPEED+buttonuntilspeedreaches5,6
km/h.
3. Observewhethertherunningbeltistowardtherightorleftsideofthedeck.
a. Iftowardtheleftsideofthedeck:
Turntheleftadjustmentscrewclockwise1/2turn,andtherightadjustmentboltcounter
clockwise1/2turn.
b. Iftowardtherightsideofthedeck:
Turntherightadjustmentscrewclockwise1/2turn,andtheleftadjustmentboltcounter
clockwise1/2turn.
c.Ifthebeltisstillnotcentered,repeattheabovestepsuntiltherunningbeltiscentered.
4. Afterthebeltiscentered,increasethespeedandverifythatitisrunningsmoothly.Repeatthe
abovestepsifitisnecessary.Iftheaboveprocedureisnotsuccessfulinresolvingtheproblem,you
mayneedtoincreasethebelttension.
