  If your POWERWINCH winch isn't operating, start by checking the power supply. Ensure the vehicle battery is fully charged and that all connections are tight and clean. Inspect the wires for any wear or bare spots that could cause shorts, and correct these issues as needed. Next, examine the circuit breaker at the battery. For testing purposes only, bypass the circuit breaker to see if the winch runs. Remember, do not operate the winch without a properly functioning circuit breaker. If the winch operates when the breaker is bypassed, then the circuit breaker is faulty and needs replacement. If the issue persists after these steps, reconnect the circuit breaker and seek assistance from an authorized service center.

  If the load slips when using your POWERWINCH winch, there are several potential causes. First, check the thrust washers and thrust bearings for wear or deformation and replace them if necessary. Another possible reason is a failed clutch bearing inside the 120-tooth gear, which would require replacing the gear assembly. Also, inspect the clutch lining, located on the 120-tooth gear under the left-hand side (clutch side) of the case. Make sure the clutch is clean and free of grease; clean it if needed. If the clutch lining is worn or damaged, you'll need to replace the 120-tooth gear assembly.
