BATTERY
Your bike is equipped with battery. Please check the electrolyte level or add distilled water when
they are shortage.
WARNING
Immediately wash hands after handling battery.
Battery and related components contain lead and lead compounds.
NOTICE: If you remove the cap strip you can permanently damage the battery.
Any electrical accessory will use currents from the battery. If you have electrical accessories on
your motorcycle and you ride often, be sure to charge the battery frequently.
You should remove the battery or disconnect the battery cables if you do not plan to ride for two
weeks or more.
Battery Storage
We recommend that you remove the battery from your bike if you are planning to store it for a
long period of time. In order to maintain the life of the battery while storing you should slow
trickle charge the battery every 30 days. If you do not remove the battery you should disconnect
the battery wires (negative wire first).
WARNING
To avoid possibility of explosion, always connect battery cable in order specified: Negative first,
Positive last. An exploding battery can cause serious injury or death.
Batteries contain sulfuric acid.
Always shield eyes with protective eye wear when working around battery acid.
Battery acid is poisonous and can cause severe burns.
Do not smoke around batteries and keep away from open flames.
Battery
The battery can be found in the battery box under the right side cover below the driver seat.
1. Remove the left side cover.
2. Disconnect the Negative terminal lead first, then
the Positive terminallead.
3. Remove the Bolt.
4. Remove the battery from the battery box.
5. Unless you have been riding on a regular basis,
charge thebattery.
6. Store the battery in an easily accessible, neutral
climate location (off of the floor and out of reach
of children).
7. Clean battery box before storing.
