IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Important Safety Instructions
When using the Precor treadmill or the self-powered products,
always take basic precautions, including the following:
• Read all instructions before using the equipment. These
instructions are written to educate patrons and other users in the
proper use of the equipment.
• Before beginning any fitness program, make sure all users see a
physician for a complete physical examination.
Il est conseillé de subir un examen médical complet avant
d’entreprendre tout programme d’exercise. Si vous avez des
étourdissements ou des faiblesses, arrêtez les exercices
immédiatement.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock always
unplug the treadmill from its power source
before cleaning the unit. If you have a self-
powered unit, disconnect the optional power
adapter before cleaning the unit.
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock,
or injury, take the following precautions:
• Do not allow children or those unfamiliar with its operation on or
near the unit. Do not leave children unsupervised around the unit.
• Never leave the unit unattended when it is plugged in. Unplug the
unit from the power source when it is not in use, before cleaning
it, and before providing authorized service.
Note: The optional power adapter is considered a power source
for self-powered units.
• Assemble and operate the unit on a solid, level surface. Locate
the unit a few feet from walls or furniture.
• Maintain the equipment in good working condition. Refer to the
Maintenance section. Make sure that all fasteners are secure
and, on treadmills, the running belt is clean and running smoothly.
• If you plan to move the EFX, climber, or cycle, obtain help and
use a hand truck. Do not grasp any plastic parts while lifting or
moving the unit. The plastic parts are not structurally linked to the
unit and will break.
Important: The plastic end caps, on the treadmill, are
specifically designed for lifting. To avoid injury to yourself or
damage to the unit, ask for help in placing the treadmill where
you plan to use it. Place each hand under an end cap and, using
proper lifting techniques, lift the rear of the treadmill so that it
rolls on its front wheels.
