Why is the walking belt slipping on my Pro-Form PERFORMANCE 800i Treadmill?
    • A
      Aaron DyerJul 29, 2025
To resolve this, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller screws clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. Ensure the walking belt is correctly tightened, allowing you to lift each edge 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and test the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating until properly tightened.

Why does the walking belt slow down when I walk on my Pro-Form Treadmill?
    • T
      Thomas BrownAug 3, 2025
The walking belt might be slowing down because of several reasons. If you're using an extension cord, make sure it's a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm2) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m). Also, if the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating until properly tightened. Your treadmill belt is coated with high-performance lubricant, so avoid applying silicone spray or other substances unless instructed by an authorized service representative.

What to do if my Pro-Form PERFORMANCE 800i power does not turn on?
    • N
      Nancy ButlerAug 13, 2025
First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet. If using an extension cord, it should be a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm2) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m). After plugging in, make sure the key is inserted into the console. Check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch is protruding, it has tripped; wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it.

How to center the walking belt on my Pro-Form PERFORMANCE 800i Treadmill?
    • J
      Jeffery DixonAug 17, 2025
To fix this, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, use the hex key to turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller screw counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn.
