Why does my Procom Heater make a clicking noise?
    • M
Mrs. Pamela Ramirez MDSep 3, 2025
This is a common occurrence due to metal expanding while heating or contracting while cooling. If the noise is excessive, contact a qualified service technician.

Why is the ignition delayed on my Procom Heater?
    • A
      Amanda BrownSep 2, 2025
If your Procom Heater experiences delayed ignition of the burner(s), the manifold pressure may be too low, or the burner orifice may be clogged. Contact your local gas supplier to check the manifold pressure. Clean the burner.

Why aren't the burner plaques glowing on my Procom Heater?
    • W
      william31Sep 1, 2025
If the burner plaque(s) on your Procom Heater does not glow, the plaque may be damaged, the inlet gas pressure may be too low, or the control knob may be set between locked positions. Replace the burner. If the gas pressure is too low, contact your local gas company. Ensure the control knob is locked at the desired setting.

      Laurie RileyAug 31, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Procom Heater is backfiring during combustion, the burner orifice may be clogged or damaged, or the gas regulator may be damaged. Clean the burner orifice. If the regulator is damaged, replace it.

Why is there a spark but no ignition on my Procom Heater?
    • A
      Angela WilliamsAug 30, 2025
If, when pressing the ignitor button on your Procom Heater, there is a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition, the gas supply may be off, the control knob may not be fully pressed, or there might be air in the gas lines. The ODS/pilot could also be clogged, the inlet gas pressure incorrect, the control knob not in the PILOT position, or the gas supply depleted (if using propane). Turn on the gas supply, fully press the control knob, and repeat the igniting operation to remove air. Clean or replace the ODS/pilot assembly. Check the inlet gas pressure or replace the regulator. Ensure the control knob is in the PILOT position and contact your propane supplier if the gas supply is depleted.

What to do if burner won't light on my Procom Heater after the pilot is lit?
    • D
      daniel35Aug 29, 2025
If your Procom Heater's burner(s) does not light after the ODS/pilot is lit, the burner orifice may be clogged or the diameter may be too small, or the inlet gas pressure may be too low. Clean or replace the burner orifice. If the pressure is too low, contact your local gas supplier.

How to fix a Procom Heater when the ignitor button produces no spark?
    • T
      turnerdavidAug 28, 2025
If, when you press the ignitor button on your Procom Heater, there's no spark at the ODS/pilot, the ignitor electrode might be positioned wrong or broken, or it may not be connected to the ignitor cable. The ignitor cable could be pinched, wet, or broken, or the piezo ignitor itself may be bad. In such cases, replace the pilot assembly, ignitor cable, or piezo ignitor, and ensure the ignitor cable is free from any obstructions and kept dry.

Why does my Procom Heater smell?
    • E
      Eric LewisAug 27, 2025
If your Procom Heater produces unwanted odors, it might be burning vapors from paint, hair spray, or glues, or there could be a gas leak, or low fuel supply (if propane/LP gas). Ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products while the heater is running. Locate and correct any gas leaks. If you're using propane, refill the supply tank.

Why does the pilot light go out when I release the knob on my Procom Heater?
    • Z
      zpetersAug 27, 2025
If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Procom Heater, make sure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for at least 30 seconds after the pilot lights. Ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. Check that the thermocouple connection is snug at the control valve, and hand-tighten it a quarter turn more. If the pilot flame isn't touching the thermocouple, it may be due to low gas pressure or a dirty ODS/pilot. Contact your gas company or clean/replace the ODS/pilot assembly. If the thermocouple or control valve is damaged, replace them.

Why is there a gas odor when my Procom Heater is on?
    • K
      kelly60Aug 26, 2025
If you smell gas during combustion in your Procom Heater, there might be foreign matter between the control valve and burner, or there could be a gas leak. You can take apart the gas tubing and remove any foreign matter. Also, locate and correct all gas leaks.
