    • S
      Steven RuizAug 5, 2025
To address a walking belt that is off-center or slips on your ProForm Treadmill, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn; if it has shifted right, turn it counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the belt slips, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn. Ensure you can lift each side of the belt 3-4 inches off the platform without overtightening. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and test for a few minutes, repeating adjustments as needed.

Why does ProForm 520 walking belt slow down?
    • J
      James BradleyAug 10, 2025
If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, use only a single-outlet surge suppressor. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, use an Allen wrench to turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Keep the walking belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
