Why does my ProForm Treadmill power turn off during use?
    • B
      bortizAug 4, 2025
Your ProForm Treadmill might be turning off during use due to several reasons. The power switch may have tripped; if so, check the power switch and reset it by waiting five minutes before pressing it back in. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Also, try removing and reinserting the key from the console.

How to fix a ProForm Treadmill that does not turn on?
    • J
      Jennifer LarsonAug 9, 2025
If your ProForm Treadmill does not turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet, using a suitable extension cord if needed (3-conductor, 14-gauge, no longer than 5 ft.). Also, verify that the key is correctly inserted into the console. Finally, check the power switch located on the treadmill frame; if it has tripped, wait five minutes before pressing it back in to reset.

What to do if the ProForm 505 CST walking belt slips when walked on?
    • N
      Nathan MorenoAug 14, 2025
If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slips when you walk on it, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. Ensure the walking belt is correctly tightened, allowing you to lift each edge 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform, and keep it centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat this process until the walking belt is properly tightened.

Why do the console displays remain lit after removing the key from my ProForm Treadmill?
    • A
      Alyssa LeeAug 19, 2025
The console displays on your ProForm Treadmill may remain lit after removing the key because the console features a display demo mode, designed for store displays. To turn off the demo mode, check your console settings.

What to do if ProForm Treadmill walking belt slows when walked on?
    • F
      Fernando WebbAug 25, 2025
If the walking belt on your ProForm Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, use only a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm[2]) cord that is no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m) if you need an extension cord. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform, keeping it centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating until properly tightened. Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt.

How to fix ProForm Treadmill console displays that do not function properly?
    • J
      James SawyerAug 29, 2025
If the console displays on your ProForm Treadmill do not function properly, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Remove the five #8 x 3/4" Screws and pivot off the Motor Hood. Locate the Reed Switch and the Magnet on the left side of the Pulley. Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch, ensuring a gap of about 3 mm (1/8 in.). If needed, loosen the #8 x 1/2" Washer Head Screws, move the Reed Switch slightly, and retighten the Screws. Reattach the Motor Hood, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes.
