    • G
      George SmithJul 29, 2025
First, ensure the power cord of your ProForm Treadmill is properly plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is connected to a grounded outlet. Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. After plugging in, verify that the key is fully inserted into the console. Lastly, check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If it's protruding, wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it.

    • K
      kgomezAug 7, 2025
If the walking belt of your ProForm Treadmill is off-center, unplug the power cord and remove the key. For a belt shifted to the left, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn; if shifted right, turn it counterclockwise 1/2 turn. To fix a slipping belt, unplug the treadmill and remove the key. Turn both idler roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn. Make sure you don't overtighten the belt. After adjustments, plug in the treadmill, insert the key, and walk on it to check. Repeat until corrected. The belt should be tight enough that you can lift each edge 2 to 3 inches off the platform.

If the console displays on your ProForm Treadmill aren't working right, remove the key and unplug the treadmill. Find the Reed Switch and the Magnet on the left side of the Pulley. Rotate the Pulley until the Magnet lines up with the Reed Switch, leaving a gap of about 1/8 inch (3 mm). Then, run the treadmill briefly to check the speed reading.
