4 . Charge the battery
1) After the UPS is connected to the power source and turned on in AC mode, the charger will charge
the battery automatically except in battery mode, during battery self-test, overload, or when
battery voltage is high.
2) It is recommended to charge the battery at least 10 hours before operation. Otherwise, the backup
time may be shorter than expected.
5. Battery mode operation
1) When the UPS is in Battery mode, the bell will ring according to different battery capacities. If the
battery capacity is more than 25%, the buzzer will sound once every 4 seconds. If the battery voltage
drops to the alarm level, the buzzer will sound every second to alert the user that the battery level is
low and the UPS will turn off. soon. Users can turn off some non-critical loads to disable dead
alarms and extend backup time. If there is no more load to turn off, you should set up a shutdown
procedure to keep the data or device working. Otherwise, there is a risk of data loss or loading
failure.
2) In Battery mode, users can touch "SETTING" "èBasicè" Audio Mute to enable "Mute Mode" to disable
the buzzer.
3) Long-term model backup time depends on external battery capacity.
4) The backup time may vary from different operating temperature and load type.
5) When setting the discharge time for 1 6.5 hours (default value of LCD menu), after discharge 16.5
hours, the UPS will turn off automatically to protect the battery.
6. Test the battery
1) If you need to check the battery status when the UPS is operating in AC/CVCF mode, you can
touch "CONTROL" and select "Battery Test". Look at the "Battery Test" screen.
2) Users can also set up battery self-test through monitoring software.
7. Turn off the UPS with utility power supply in AC mode
1) Touch "CONTROL" and select the "On/Off UPS" icon. It will display "Turn off UPS?" on the screen and
select "Yes". See the "UPS On/Off" screen.
NOTE 1:
If the UPS has been set to bypass the output, it will bypass the voltage from the power
source to the output terminals even though you have turned off the UPS (inverter).
NOTE 2:
After turning off the UPS, please be aware that the UPS works in Bypass mode, there will be
a risk of power loss for connected devices.
2) In Bypass mode, the UPS output voltage is still there. To cut off the output, turn off the input
disconnect channel. The LCD screen will turn off and the UPS is now completely off.
8 . Turn off the UPS without power supply in Battery mode
1) Touch "CONTROL" and select the "On/Off UPS" icon. It will display "Turn off UPS?" on the screen and
select "Yes". See the "UPS On/Off" screen.
2) Then the UPS will cut off the power to the output terminal .
9 . Turn off the bell
1) Touch "SETTINGS" and select the "BASIC" item. There are two shows available for mute. Look to the
"SETTINGS" screen.
2) Some warning alarms cannot be turned off unless the error has been corrected. See sections 3-3 for
details.
10 . Operations in alert state
1) When the warning code flashes and the buzzer sounds every second, it means that a warning event
occurred on the UPS. Users can read these warning messages from the "DATALOG" menu. Please
refer to Chapter 4 for details s.
2) Some warning alarms cannot be turned off unless the error has been corrected. See sections 3-3 for
details.
