Tube rotor or generator rotor drive
not functioning properly.
1. Check boost and run voltages:
Connect DVM across Rotor Drive
Board A10 (AY40-013T) terminals
TB1-1 and TB1-3. Press PREP.
Boost voltage should read 183-227
or 110-130 VAC, run voltage
should read 54-66 VAC. If not,
check for open fuse F7 on Inter-
face Board A9 AY40-023T (or
AY40-034T). If F7 is good, replace
Rotor Drive Board A10.
2. Check for correct adjustment of
Rotor Drive Board A10 potentiom-
eters R20 and R24 as described in
in the "Rotor Drive Board A10
(AY40-013T) Adjustment proce-
dure in Chapter 2, ASSEMBLY &
INSTALLATION.
Not
Rotating
Systems equipped with AID External High-Speed Starter:
Tube rotor or high-speed starter
(HSS) unit not functioning prop-
erly.
1. Remove HSS cover and check
error code display for error indica-
tion. Refer to HSS manufacturer’s
documentation for error analysis
instructions.
2. Verify jumper JP6 is installed on
Logic Board A1 (AY40-006S).
3. Check rotor cable connection
between tube and high speed
starter unit.
