Wear the lanyard at all mes when operang the boat. Use
it to stop only in an emergency. DO NOT use it to shut o
the engine during normal operaon
The lanyard should be long enough to prevent inadvertent acvaon. Do not let the lanyard become
entangled.

Your boat may be equipped with Mercury’s Joysck Pilong. The system allows the operator to
eortlessly move a mul-engine boat in any direcon, including sideways, diagonally or spinning on its
own axis, with a simple push or twist of a joysck. The operator controls the throle, shiing and
steering with one hand, with the joysck working in conjuncon with the independently steered
engines to move the boat in the desired direcon.
