5. Fuses and Breakers
Your boat will either have fuses or breakers protecng the DC electrical system. If you have to replace
a fuse or electrical breaker, replace only with a fuse or breaker of the same rang. The amperage will
be marked on the fuse or breaker, and it is recommended that you carry spare fuses or breakers.
If a fuse or breaker is replaced with one that has a lower amperage, it may not be sucient to carry
Twin Engine Boat / Joysck Pilong Boat
On a twin engine installaon (including boats with Joysck Pilong), there is one baery switch that
controls two isolated baeries for the engines. When you turn the baery switch labeled engine
baeries to the ON posion, power is provided from both the port engine baery and the starboard
engine baery. The baery switch also has the ability to combine baery banks for emergency
starng. To turn on power to the boat, rotate the switch clockwise 90 degrees to the ON posion. To
ulize both baery banks for emergency starng, push the switch in and rotate clockwise 45 degrees.
There is a 3rd baery installed for powering everything else on the vessel. To turn on power to the
boat, rotate the switch labeled house baery clockwise 90 degrees to the ON posion.
