the Host (Disk) Computer:

Make
sure
the
computer
is
ON
(the
ON/OFF
switch
is
under
the
right
side
of
the
keyboard).
12.
Insert
the
backup
copy
of
the
Network
3
software
diskette
in
Drive
0 (the
bottom
drive)
with
the
label facing
up
and
the
square
notch
to
the
left,
close
the
disk
drive
door,
and
press
the
orange
Reset
button.
13.
Type
the
date,
using
two
digits
each
for
the
month,
day,
and
year,
with
a
slash
separating
each
pair.
(Example:
[I]
00
[Z]
[I]
[I]
[Z]
[I]
~
for
September
1, 1982.)
Then
press
I ENTER L
When
asked
for
the
time,
simply
press
I ENTER
I.
(The
computer
will
ask
for
the
date
and
time
only
after
it
is
first
turned
on.)
14.
When
"TRSDOS Ready"
appears
on
the
screen,
type
[HJ
[Q]
[I]
[!] I ENTER L
15.
When
"Baud rate?"
appears
on
the
screen,
press
I ENTER L *
The
screen
should
now display:
* The baud
rate
is
the
rate
at
which information is
transferred
between
the
Host
computer
and
the
Student
Stations.
When
I ENTER I is
pressed
in
response
to
the
"Baud rate?"
question,
the
fastest
rate
(9600 baud) is used.
Other
rates
which
may
be chosen include
300, 600, 1200, 1800, 2400, 3600, 4800,
and
7200 baud. The
Host
computer
and
the
Student
Stations
must
be
set
at
the
same
baud
rate
for
accurate
transfer
of information
between
the
Host
computer
and
the
Student
Stations.
