DepthOffset
Depthsaremeasuredfromthetransducertotheseabed,but
youcanapplyanoffsetvaluetothedepthdata,sothatthe
displayeddepthreadingrepresentsthedepthtotheseabed
fromeitherthekeelorthewaterline.
Beforeattemptingtosetawaterlineorkeeloffset,ndout
theverticalseparationbetweenthetransducerandeither
thewaterlineorthebottomofthekeelonyourvessel,as
appropriate.Thensettheappropriatedepthoffsetvalue.

Thedepthoffsetnumericadjustcontrolisdisplayed.
4.Adjusttheoffsettotherequiredvalue.
5.SelectOktoconrmthenewvalueandclosethenumeric
adjustcontrol.

CheckingGPSoperation
YoucancheckthattheGPSisfunctioningcorrectlyusingthe
Chartapplication.
1.SelectaviewfromtheViewswitcherwhichincludesthe
Chartapplication.
2.Checkthescreen.
Youshouldsee:
Yourvesselposition(indicatesaGPSx).Yourcurrent
positionisrepresentedbyavesselsymbolorsolidcircle.
Yourpositionisalsodisplayedinthedatacellonthebottom
rightofthedisplay.
Asolidcircleonthechartindicatesthatthevesselspeed
istolow(i.e.lessthan0.15kts)toprovideCourseOver
Ground(COG)data.
Note:Itisrecommendedthatyoucheckthedisplayedvessel
positionintheChartapplicationagainstyouractualproximity
toaknownchartedobject.GPSreceiverstypicallyhavean
accuracyofbetween5mand15m.

Settingspage.Thisprovidessatellitesignalstrengthand
otherrelevantinformation.

TheGPSsetupoptionsenableyoutocongureaGPSreceiver.
TheGlobalPositioningSystem(GPS)isusedtopositionyour
vesselonthechart.YoucansetupyourGPSreceiverand
checkitsstatusfromtheGPSStatusoptionintheSystem
Settingsmenu.Foreachtrackedsatellite,thescreenprovides
thefollowinginformation:

•Signalstrengthbar.
•Status.
•Azimuthangle.
•Elevationangle.
