SeaTalkng®utilizesasinglebackbonewhichcompatibleequipmentconnectstousingaspur.Data
andpowerarecarriedwithinthebackbone.Devicesthathavealowdrawcanbepoweredfromthe
network,althoughhighcurrentequipmentwillneedtohaveaseparatepowerconnection.
SeaTalkng®isaproprietaryextensiontoNMEA2000andtheprovenCANbustechnology.
CompatibleNMEA2000andSeaTalkandSea Talk2devicescanalsobeconnectedusingthe
appropriateinterfacesoradaptorcablesasrequired.

MDSisaRaymarineschemeformanagingmultiplesourcesofidenticaldatatypesonanysingle
network(e.g.:inaMFDnetworkyoumayhavemorethanonesourceofGPS/GNSSpositiondata).
