Theradiocanrequestpositioninformationfromany
stationcapableofrespondingtotherequest.
Positionrequestscanbesenttoanycontactstored
inthePhonebookorbymanuallyinputtingthe
station’sMMSInumber.
WhenconnectedtoaRaymarine
®
multifunction
displaythepositiondatafromtherequestcanalso
bedisplayintheChartapplication.
Makingapositionrequest
Youcanrequestthepositionofanotherstation.
FromthePositionRequestmenu:Menu>DSC
Calls>PositionRequest.
1.SelectPhonebooktorequestthepositionofa
contactsavedinyourPhonebook,or
2.SelectRecentCallstorequestthepositionofa
contactthatyouhavecalledrecently,or
3.SelectEnterMMSItomanuallyentertheMMSI
numberofthestationthatyouwanttorequest
thepositionof.
4.SelectacontactorenteranMMSImanuallyand
presstheOKbutton.
Thepositionrequestissent.Whenaresponseis
receivedthepositionofthecontactisdisplayed.
Respondingtoapositionrequest
WithaPositionrequestdisplayed:
1.SelectSendpositiontorespondwithyour
currentlocation,or
2.SelectCanceltoignoretherequest.
3.Ifthepositionreplyissettomanualthenselect
SENDtosendthepositionreport.
4.SelectOKtoresumenormaloperation.
IfthePositionrequestssetting,foundinthe
GPSset-upmenuissettoAutoacceptthenthe
responseissentautomatically.

positionrequestsautomatically.

1.SelectPositionrequeststoswitchbetween
Manualaccept(default)andAutoaccept.

Thephonebookcanbeusedtosaveupto100
contacts.
Youcanadd,editanddeletecontactsstoredinthe
phonebook.
Addingaphonebookentry
Youcansavecontactsinthephonebookbyentering
theirMMSIandassigninganametothecontact.

1.SelectPhonebook.
2.SelectAddnew.
3.Selectthetypeofcontact.

•Group
•Coaststation
4.UsetheRotaryknobtocyclethroughthe
availablenumbersandpressOKtoconrmand
movetothenextdigit.
5.PresstheOKbuttontoconrmtheMMSI.
6.UsetheRotaryknobtocyclethroughthe
availablecharactersandpressOKtoconrm
andmovetothenextcharacter.
Themaximumlengthforcontactnamesis10
characters.
7.IftheContactnameislessthan10characters,
pressandholdtheOKbuttonandselectSave.
8.PresstheBackbuttonatanytimetoedit
charactersyouhavealreadyentered.
9.PressandholdtheOKbuttonandselectMove
cursortoeditanexistingcharacter.
10.WhencompletepresstheOKbuttontoreturnto
thePhonebook.
