NOTE
If
the
oil
level
in
the
old
compressor
cannot
be
determined,
then
the
oil
should
be
drained
from
the
entire
system
and
the
system
reserviced.
Refer
to
the
REPLENISHING
AIR
CONDITIONING
SYSTEM
LUBRICATION
procedure
in
Section
2.
Drainage
can
be
accomplished
by
cracking
the
freon
line
fittings
at
low
points
in
the
system.
Approximately
one
ounce
of
oil
will
remain
in
the
system
after
draining.
If
any
contamination
of
the
system
is
suspected,
the
system
should
be
flushed.
Refer
to
the
FLUSHING
THE
SYSTEM
procedure.

Measure
new
oil

equal

the
amount
drained
from
the
old
compressor
and
use
it
to
refill

new
