When using this programming method, the code library starting on page 9 is not required. The
remote control will automatically use the code library stored in your RCU810 remote control.
Programming Your Device With Manual Code Search
1. Manually turn on the device you want to program.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH key until the remote
window displays CODE SET.
3. Step through the programming menu using the
UP (▲) key or DOWN (▼) key for MAN SRCH,
then press the SELECT key.
4. Use the Device or UP (▲) key DOWN (▼) key to scroll
to the desired device.
(TV, VCR, TAPE, LDP, DAT, DVD, CD, TUNER, AMP, HOME,
MISC AUD, PHONO, CAB, SAT & VIDEO)
5. After the desired device type is selected, press SELECT
key to step through the code library. The remote
must be in a position where a signal can be sent out to
your device.
6. Begin the manual search with the DOWN (▼) key to
advance to next code from the top of the list. Use UP (▲)
key to preview the previous code.
NOTE: The code list is defaulted so you can only scroll through
the list once. Once the manual code search completes
advancing through all the codes in the remote library, the
message END CYCLE will be displayed for 1 second
followed by the display message EXIT SETUP for 1
second, and the remote will exit the manual code search.
7. When stepping through the code library the remote
will automatically send out a Power Off or Channel
Up signal to check if the code is valid.
8. When the selected device turns off, the four-digit code
is valid. Press the SELECT key to accept the code and
exit the manual search mode. The LCD display window
will show a message displaying SUCCESS and
automatically EXIT SETUP for its original operation.
9. With your device on , press the CH+ (Channel Up). Some
devices may not respond to CH+. For those devices
press the ON•OFF key. If the device responds, no further
programming is required.
NOTE
• Press the CLEAR key at any time to exit the programming
mode. An EXIT SETUP message will appear confirming that no
new codes have been entered.
• If about 30 seconds passes before a key is pressed, the LCD
display window will stop transmission to conserve battery life.
If this occurs, restart from step 1.
