Installation
Power Supply
The instrument head unit can operate
from a supply voltage of 10 - 30 V DC.
The instrument normally operates from
a 12V supply.
The head unit does not have an
integral On-Off switch, and is normally
powered on via the ignition circuit.
However, a separate toggle switch is
provided in the installation kit should
this be preferred.
Vehicles with Positive Earth or Insulated
Return
It is recommended to convert the
system to negative earth. If this is not
feasible then note that,
(i) The instrument must remain insulated
from the vehicle chassis
(ii) Sensor wiring must not use the chassis
as an earth return, but must be fully-
wired back to the instrument.
