What to do if my RefPlus Air Conditioner system stopped and displays WATER LOW PRESSURE alarm?
    • P
      Peter BaxterAug 18, 2025
If the RefPlus Air Conditioner system stops and displays a WATER LOW PRESSURE alarm, ensure that the pump inlet pressure is at least 40 psi if you're using city water. Check for any restrictions and ensure the inlet pipe dimension is correct. The low-pressure switch might be damaged, so inspect it. If the pressure is correct, you should detect continuity. Reset the alarm. If using a water tank, ensure proper flow, check for restrictions, and verify the inlet pipe dimension. The low-level switch may be damaged, so check it. When the pressure is correct, continuity should be detected. Reset the alarm. To check continuity, first remove wires from ID2 and Ground on port J12 and read continuity between ID2 and Ground.

What to do if my RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus system stopped and displays WATER HIGH PRESSURE alarm?
    • H
      huangpennyAug 21, 2025
If your RefPlus Air Conditioner system stops and shows a WATER HIGH PRESSURE alarm, check for obstructions in the pipe from the pump to the nozzles and inspect the nozzles for any blockages. Reduce the amount of water sprayed. Lower the pump outlet pressure by adjusting the bypass valve from the pump outlet to the pump inlet, ensuring the water inlet pressure is close to 40 psi.

Why does my RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus Air Conditioner fluid temperature reading display an abnormal reading?
    • W
      William WebbAug 23, 2025
If your RefPlus Air Conditioner displays an abnormal fluid temperature (FT) reading, first check the FT offset and return it to zero. Inspect the FT sensor wires, ensuring one is on B2 (port J2) and the other on Ground (port J2), with no other wire in contact with the wire on B2 (port J2). Check the sensor and wiring for any open wires or shorts. Disconnect the wires from B2 and Ground (port J2) and read the resistance; it should be around 10 Kohms at 25oC or 27 Kohms at 0oC. Replace the sensor if the reading is open.

Why does my RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus outside temperature reading display an abnormal reading?
    • W
      William GibbsAug 26, 2025
If the RefPlus Air Conditioner displays an abnormal outside temperature (OT) reading, first check the OT offset and return it to zero. Inspect the OT sensor wires, ensuring one is on B1 (port J2) and the other on Ground (port J2), with no other wire in contact with the wire on B1 (port J2). Check the sensor and wiring for any open wires or shorts. Disconnect the wires from B1 and Ground (port J2) and read the resistance; it should be around 10 Kohms at 25oC or 27 Kohms at 0oC. Replace the sensor if the reading is open.

What to do if my RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus Air Conditioner system stopped and displays OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURE alarm?
    • E
      Edgar PattersonAug 27, 2025
If the RefPlus Air Conditioner system stops and displays an OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURE alarm, make sure the outside temperature reading is not affected by an offset. Check the sensor and wiring for any open wires or shorts. Disconnect the wires from B1 and Ground (port J2), read the resistance; it should be around 10 Kohms at 25oC, 27K ohms at 0oC. If the reading is open, replace the sensor.

What to do if my RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus Air Conditioner system stopped and displays FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURE alarm?
    • T
      Thomas KimAug 30, 2025
If the RefPlus Air Conditioner system stops and displays a FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAILURE alarm, check that the fluid/gas temperature reading is not affected by an offset. Check the sensor and wiring for any open wire or short. Disconnect wires from B2 and Ground (port J2), read resistance, it should be around 10 Kohms at 25oC, 27K ohms at 0oC. If the reading is open, replace the sensor.

What to do if fluid outlet temperature stays high on RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus even when spraying?
    • N
      Nancy OrrSep 3, 2025
If the fluid outlet temperature on the cooler (or gas pressure on the condenser) of your RefPlus Air Conditioner stays high and won't come down, and the system sprays water and the pump is running: 1. Check coils for blockage. 2. Check if cooler/condenser fans are all running at full speed. 3. Check if there is excessive water dropping from the spraying system. If not, increase the amount of water delivered to the nozzles. The amount of water should be enough to make the fluid/gas temperature (FT) or pressure decrease while avoiding too much water dropping from the cooler/condenser coil.

How to stop excessive water dropping from RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus nozzles?
    • L
      lancevaughnSep 6, 2025
If a great amount of water is dropping from the nozzles onto the ground of your RefPlus Air Conditioner, reduce the amount of water delivered to the nozzles. The amount of water should be enough to make the FT or pressure decrease but without having too much un-atomized water fall to the ground.

Why is my RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus Air Conditioner pump making a cavitation sound?
    • S
      Samantha GibsonSep 8, 2025
If the pump on your RefPlus Air Conditioner is making a cavitation sound, check for proper water flow. The water inlet to the pump should be at least 40 PSI (when using city water). Check the water filter; it may be clogged, and replace it if needed. Make sure the water inlet pipe dimension is respected. Check for obstructions, and verify if an obstructed water filter alarm is triggered. If so, replace the filter and reset the alarm.

How to fix water hammer effect on RefPlus Opti-Mist Plus Air Conditioner system?
    • E
      ecollinsSep 12, 2025
If you are experiencing a water hammer effect on the RefPlus Air Conditioner system (a loud “thunk” sound and sudden piping vibration), adjust the water pressure, as it may be too high.
