Deciding on the Type of Installation
There are typically two different types of installation. The installation section of this manual has been broken into these two
methods:

Galvanized Pipe or Copper (Sweat) Piping

The original piping is galvanized pipe or sweat
copper and you are going to use a “Water Heater
Installation Kit”.
The original piping is copper sweat and you are
going to reconnect with sweat joints.
Now that you have decided which method you are going to use, follow the removal Steps 1 through 5 on Page 7.
