Why is the air out of my Respironics REMstar Pro M Medical Equipment mask warmer than usual?
    • S
      Shannon HarrisonAug 17, 2025
The air coming from the mask may be warmer than usual because the air filters are dirty, or the device is operating in direct sunlight or near a heater. To resolve this, clean or replace the air filters as described in Chapter 7. Ensure the device is properly ventilated and away from bedding or curtains that could block airflow. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heating equipment. If the problem continues, contact your home care provider.

What to do if my Respironics REMstar Pro M has fallen off the table?
    • G
      Gregory HarrisonAug 19, 2025
If your device has fallen off a table or nightstand, it may not have been properly seated, or the tubing placement may have caused it to fall. Always place your device on a hard, flat surface ensuring the feet on the bottom can adhere properly. The device and humidifier, if using, must be level. Position the device away from the edge. If using a humidifier, ensure the device and humidifier are below your head and mask to allow condensation to drain back into the water chamber. If water gets into the device, drain all water and ensure it is completely dry before reapplying power. Use proper hose management, routing the tubing behind the bed's headboard. If the device does not operate correctly after falling, contact your home care provider.

What to do if my Respironics Medical Equipment display is erratic?
    • S
      shawloganAug 22, 2025
If the device's display is erratic, it might be due to the device or power supply being dropped or mishandled, or being in an area with high Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Unplug both the device and the power supply, then reapply power. If the problem continues, move the device to an area with lower EMI emissions, away from electronic equipment like cell phones, cordless phones, computers, TVs, electronic games, and hair dryers. If the issue persists, contact your home care provider for assistance.

How to fix excessive air leaks where the tubing connects to my Respironics Medical Equipment?
    • D
      David JonesAug 26, 2025
Excessive air leaks where the tubing connects to the device may be due to the air outlet port not being installed correctly and not sealing properly. Remove the port and reattach it to ensure proper installation. To remove the port: Put your thumb underneath the port and insert your index finger into the port opening. Pivoting from the bottom, unsnap the port and pull it away from the device. To properly reattach the port: Make sure it is correctly oriented (with the port opening at the top), and insert the two latches at the bottom of the port into the openings on the bottom of the device. Push the top of the port down to snap it into place. Reattach your tubing, turn on the airflow, and check to make sure you do not still feel air coming out of the port area.

What to do if my Respironics REMstar Pro M does not operate when I press the button?
    • N
      Noah CohenAug 28, 2025
If the device does not operate when you press the button, and the airflow does not turn on, there may be a problem with the blower. Ensure the device is powered correctly, following the instructions on the previous page. If the audible indicator sounds and the button backlights turn on when you apply power, but the airflow does not turn on, there may be a problem with your device. Contact your home care provider for assistance. Note: When the device is functioning correctly, after you press the button, the device beeps and the airflow turns on after a slight delay. This brief delay is normal.
