The computer model to use

Current model
(Classic
mode only) shows what the
current computer model is
set to. This is affected by
any filename flags or CJM
files on programs currently
loaded from a USB stick. You
can change this model setting
from here. See CHAPTER 8
for more details on CJM files
and filename flags.
Default model
shows which
computer model to use when
THEC64 next boots into
Classic mode, or when you
switch to Classic mode from
Carousel mode. You may
change this setting from here.

You have a choice between a PAL or NTSC model
for each computer and for the Current or Default
setting:
C64
The default computer on THEC64 is the C64, which
runs C64 programs and has approximately 38 kB of
memory available to BASIC.
VIC 20
This is the predecessor to the C64. The VIC 20 has
different video and audio capabilities and less
available memory than the C64.
An unexpanded VIC 20 has approximately 3.5 kB of
memory available to BASIC. Add expanded memory
using CJM or filename flags for programs requiring
more memory. The VIC 20 only has one joystick port
and it can only run VIC 20 programs.
