INTRODUCTION
Load programs for the C64 or the VIC 20 from a USB stick connected to THEC64. The
USB stick needs formatting as FAT32 (with MBR) before you begin, and you provide
the USB stick and the compatible files. See APPENDIX B for further details about
preparing a USB stick for use on THEC64.
COMPATIBLE FILE TYPES
What type of files work on THEC64?

A virtual disk file,
e.g. mydisk.d64.
Classic mode only: If a blank
virtual disk file called
thec64-drive8.d64 is not in
the root of the USB stick, then
THEC64 creates and inserts one
for you. This empty virtual disk
file can be used for saving and
loading programs if required,
or ejected or replaced with a
different virtual disk file.

A virtual disk file with extra disk
information,
