Which screen setting?
Flag Description
FH
This sets the screen to full height, squeezing everything into the 720p HD
image, including the top and bottom border areas
e.g. platformer_MVTNFH.tap
If your program looks like it is not completely in view, then you can set THEC64 to
display using the full height (squeezing the top and bottom borders into full view on
an HD TV or monitor). Alternatively, use a CJM file to vertical shift the screen up or
down without sacrificing the accurate display.
Which VIC 20 memory options?
Flag Description
B0
This enables bank 0 of expanded memory for the VIC 20, which gives an
additional 3 kB of memory. Other possible flags include B1, B2, B3, B5
and any combination of these
Some VIC 20 programs need more memory. Add expanded memory by indicating
additional memory banks.
e.g. arcade_MVTPB1B2.prg gives the VIC 20 an additional 16 kB of expanded
memory for the virtual program file to use.
See APPENDIX C for further details about the VIC 20 and expanded memory. Ignore
this if your program is for the C64 or for an unexpanded VIC 20.
Which miscellaneous settings?
Flag Description
NI
This flag specifically disables the drive icon from appearing on-screen
(top-right corner) during disk loading. Some programs keep the disk drive
running after loading is completed, so this setting allows you to hide the
drive icon so it isn’t in view after loading completes
NS
This option disables Audio scaling which – when enabled – compensates
for potential audio issues when programs aren’t running in their native
video output mode. See APPENDIX D for full details
