Installation Warnings
To ensure proper operaon of this RetroSound product, please
read these instrucons carefully before installing and using this
equipment.
This owner’s manual does not cover all possible installaon scenarios. If you
feel you can’t install this product yourself, please take it to a local car audio
professional, or contact us at support@retrosound.com or call
702-483-2222 | 888-325-1555.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS UNIT REQUIRES +12V TO
BOTH THE RED & YELLOW WIRES, OTHERWISE THE UNIT WILL
NOT OPERATE. CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
Disconnect the negave (-) baery cable before beginning installa-
on. Verify the baery ground by checking that one wire is connect-
ed to the starter mounng bolt or engine block and another to the
vehicle chassis using at least #8 gauge wire. Make sure the alterna-
tor connecons are secure and free from corrosion, rust or dirt.
WARNING! To prevent damage to the unit, do not connect the
power connector unl you have completed the wiring process.
This is a 12 volt negave-ground ONLY radio. If you have a posive
ground system, or a 6-volt system, you need to either convert to 12
volts or purchase a separate inverter that would step up the volt-
age to 12 volts. Please note that the inverter needs to be rated at 8
amps or higher in order for the Model Two to operate properly.
