For applications that are considered to have a long
line set with the outdoor unit above the indoor unit
the following is required:
• EXV or TXV on the indoor coil.
• Crankcase heater (Some models have factory in-
stalled CCH's. Refer to tables in Section 4.4.5.6.)
• Start components maybe required depending
upon quality of voltage (consistantly <200 vac at
outdoor unit)
• Insulated liquid line in unconditioned space only.
• Insulated suction line full length.
• Follow the proper line sizing, maximum linear and
equivalent lengths, charging requirements, and
oil level adjustments spelled out in this manual.
