Error Indicator Summary
You can check the status of the printer using the lit or blinking indicators on the control panel.
1. Cartridge replacement indicators
2. [Power] key
3. [Resume] key
4. [Cancel] key
Status of Indicators Status/Solutions
A cartridge replacement indicator is lit.
(The [Power] key may be lit or blinking at the
same time.)
The printer has completely run out of the
indicated ink.
(In the illustration, the printer has run out of
cyan ink.)
Further printing is impossible. Check the
color indicated, and replace the corresponding
print cartridge immediately.
Cartridge/Print-head Tank Empty .
The print cartridges are not installed or are not
installed correctly (in the illustration, cyan is
not installed).
Install the print cartridges correctly.
Cover Open / Print Cartridge(s) Not
Detected .
