Why does my RIDGID TS3612 Saw cut bind, burn, or stall when ripping?
- JJames MillerAug 1, 2025
The saw might bind, burn, or stall during ripping due to several reasons. It could be a dull blade or improper tooth set, in which case you should sharpen or replace the blade. Another cause might be a warped, cupped, or twisted board; consider cutting from the other side or using a jig or fixture to make the board stable. If the board cannot be held stable, discard it. Other potential causes include the rip fence not being parallel to the blade, or the spreader being out of alignment.
