Smooth the edges.
If the hole in your door is smooth, skip ahead.
If there are sharp or jagged edges, use the installation tool to smooth
the opening.
Check the edges of the hole.
After you’ve removed your peephole, inspect both sides of the hole
(indoors and outdoors) for sharp or jagged edges.
