Maintenance
This is an important instrument for the purpose of safety.
To maintain the performance of the gas monitor and improve the reliability of safety, perform a regular
maintenance.
6-1. Maintenance Intervals and Items
Daily maintenance: Perform maintenance before beginning to work.
Monthly maintenance: Perform alarm test once a month.
Regular maintenance: Perform maintenance once every six months to maintain the performance as a
safety unit.
Check that the battery level is sufficient.
Concentration
Display Check
Make the gas monitor draw in fresh air and check that
the concentration display value is zero (or 20.9 vol%
on the oxygen deficiency meter). When the reading is
incorrect, perform the zero adjustment (fresh air
adjustment) after ensuring that no other gases exist
around it.
See the flow rate indicator to check for abnormalities.
Check the dust filter for dust or clogging.
Check the alarm lamp and buzzer for normal
operation using the alarm test function.
Perform the span adjustment by using the calibration
gas.
Check the gas alarm by using the calibration gas.
