      If the LCD is blank, here are a few things to check: * First, ensure the unit is turned on by pressing and briefly holding the POWER MODE button. * If that doesn't work, the batteries may need replacing. Replace them. * Also, verify that the battery cover is completely closed and the screw is tight.

      An abnormally high reading on your instrument, when other gas detectors show normal values, can be due to a few reasons: * The humidity filter may need replacement, so replace it. * The instrument (HS-04) may need recalibration, so recalibrate the unit. * If problems persist, the sensor may need replacement and recalibration.
