Why does auto calibration or single calibration fail on my RKI Instruments EAGLE 2?
T
Tyler BeckerAug 19, 2025
If auto calibration or single calibration fails on your RKI Instruments Measuring Instruments, check the calibration tubing for leaks or bad connections. Ensure the instrument is properly set up for calibration. Verify the calibration cylinder has enough fresh test sample. The charcoal filter might be saturated, causing a high CO reading, so change it. If the problem persists, the sensor(s) may need replacement.

If your RKI Instruments Gas Detectors indicates flow failure, inspect the probe tube for obstructions, the hydrophobic filter disk in the probe for dirtiness (and replace if necessary), the sample hose for kinks or obstructions (and replace if necessary), and the internal hydrophobic filter for dirtiness (and replace if necessary). The cause of the flow failure may be a clogged probe tube, a dirty hydrophobic filter disk, a kinked sample hose or a malfunctioning pump.
