TroubleshootingforPCWINDOWSbasedcomputers
Problem:Thecomputerdoesnotappeartorecognizethedrive.
Solutions:
• Awindowshouldappear,notifyingyouthatadeviceisconnectedand/ortheRocproHD
iconshouldappearonthe“MyComputer”folder.
• Yourcomputer’sMinimumrequirementsmaynotmeettheminimumsystem
requirementsasindicatedinthisManual.Page7
• Confirmthattheoutletisprovidingthecorrectvoltageandtheelectricalpowercordis
securelyattachedtoboththeoutletandtheRocprodrive.Poororlooseconnectionscan
resultinlossofpowerandpossibledamagetothedrive.EnsurethattheON/OFFswitchis
turnedtotheONposition.
• IftheRocprodriveisconnectedtoanoutletviaanUndisruptedPowerSupply(battery
Backup)orasurgeprotector,besurethattheyprovidethecorrectvoltageandtheyareall
switched“ON”andreceivingelectricity.
• PleasereviewtheManual’sinstallationprocedureinreferencetoFormatting,Operating
SystemsandInterfacesyouareusingtoensuretheywereproperlyfollowed.
• Pleasecheckthecableconnectionsasthecablesmustbeproperlyandsecurelyattachedto
thecomputerandharddrive.Ensurethatthereisafirmconnection.Itissuggestedthat
thecablesbedetachedandreattached,andthatthecomputerbeshutofffor20seconds
andthenrestarted.
