Press the Menu [ ] and [ ] buttons to select “Disk
Utility.”

Press the [Rec] button.

Press the Menu [ ] and [ ] buttons to select “Format
Disk.”

Press the [Rec] button.
The following message, asking you to confirm, will be displayed.

To cancel the procedure, press the [Reset] button.

Press the [Rec] button again to perform the Format.
While formatting is in progress, the following display appears.

When disk formatting is completed the following screen appears, then basic
screen reappears.
NOTE
Never attempt to remove
the floppy disk until
formatting is complete.
