Editing Drum
Sets
The JV-30 allows you to make
changes in the percussive
sounds in the currently
selected
Drum Set. The edited sounds
can be stored as part of a new
Drum Set.
Drum Sets have
a number of parameters
(editable items) which
can be altered
using the
buttons and sliders.
[Altering the Settings]
Drum Sets are edited
by making changes
in the settings for their
4 parameters.

the Drum Set which
you wish to edit
Both
User and Preset Drum
Sets can be selected.

Press PARAMETER
[A]
and
[T] simultaneously.

the key on the
keyboard corresponding
to the percussive
sound
you wish
to
edit.
The percussive
sound's name and its
position on the keyboard
will be shown in
the display.

Use PARAMETER
[A]
[]
to select the parameter.
The parameter's
name and its
value will
be
shown
in the display.

Alter
the parameter's
value using the VALUE
slider or VALUE
[A]
[].
Once
the value for
a parameter has been changed,
the indicator
on either [PRESET]
or
[USER] will
start blinking.
This indicates
that a change in value
has been made.

To exit the Drum
Set editing
mode, simultaneously
press PARAMETER
[A]
and
[].

When you
wish to edit a percussive
sound assigned to
a note lying beyond
the
range of the keyboard,
first use the Transpose
function to shift the
keyboard's play-
ing range
p.18).
*
Any
changes made in the settings
for a Drum
Set will only be temporary.
Once
another Drum
Set is selected, the settings
will revert to
their original values.
Should
you wish to retain the setting
changes
you have made, they must
be stored in
memory by performing
the Write Procedure.
