Why does sound keep playing when key is pressed on my Roland RD-300SX?
    • M
      melissabellSep 12, 2025
If the sound keeps playing even after you release a key on your Roland Musical Instrument, the hold pedal polarity might be reversed. Check the System Damper Pedal Polarity settings in Edit mode.

      Luke MoralesAug 25, 2025

Why are effects not applied or sound wrong on my Roland RD-300SX?
    • M
      Manuel JacksonAug 27, 2025
If the effects on your Roland Musical Instrument aren't working or sound incorrect, check if [MULTI EFFECTS] is set to OFF. Also, ensure the Effect Type isn't set to 0 and the Effect Level isn't set to 0. If the zone to which the effects are applied is assigned to the Lower Tone, the effects are then not applied to the Upper Tone.

Why is the pitch odd on my Roland Musical Instrument?
    • B
      Brittany Gibson DDSAug 27, 2025
The pitch may sound odd on your Roland Musical Instrument because, depending on the selected Tone, pitches played in certain registers might be changed and played at other pitches. Also, check if you have set Transpose or if the RD-300SX has gone out of tune by checking the System Master Tune settings in Edit mode. The pitch could also have been changed by pedal operations or by Pitch Bend messages received from an external MIDI device.

What to do if pedal has no effect or effect sticks on Roland RD-300SX?
    • E
      Edward JacksonAug 29, 2025
If the pedal on your Roland Musical Instrument isn't working or the effect is stuck, ensure the pedal is correctly connected to the PEDAL jack. If you're using a pedal from another manufacturer, try using the pedal included with the RD-300SX or an optional DP Series or similar pedal. Unplugging a pedal cord from the unit while the power is on may cause the pedal’s effect to be applied nonstop, so be sure to switch off the power to the unit before disconnecting or connecting a pedal cord. When Setup Pedal Shift is set to ON and the pedal is being used as a dedicated Setup switch, the control pedal function cannot be used.

If you're not getting any sound from your Roland Musical Instrument, here are a few things to check: * Ensure the volume level of the RD-300SX or any connected device isn't turned all the way down. * Verify all connections are properly made, using audio cables or headphones if using the RD-300SX as a stand-alone instrument. * If you hear sound with headphones, the issue might be a short in the audio cable or a problem with your amp or mixer. Check these components. * Confirm that the zone level isn't turned off using the ZONE LEVEL sliders. * Make sure the Part setting isn't set to OFF. * If no sound is produced when a key is pressed, ensure the Local Switch is set to ON. * Check the ON/OFF settings for MULTI EFFECTS [ON/OFF], MFX Zone, and level settings. * Also, verify t...

      jeffrey04Sep 9, 2025
If you're not getting any sound from the left side of your Roland Musical Instrument, check if V-LINK is switched on. When V-LINK is switched on, the twelve keys at the left end of the keyboard are used to control images, and no sounds are played with these keys.

Why are not all sounds played on my Roland RD-300SX Musical Instrument?
    • A
      Angela MilesSep 6, 2025
Not all sounds might be playing on your Roland Musical Instrument because the RD-300SX has a maximum polyphony of 128 voices. When playing together with a song or Rhythm along with heavy use of the damper pedal, the performance data may exceed the number of available voices, and as a result, some notes or sounds played on the keyboard may not sound.
