Trouble Shooting Chart
Symptom Malfunction
Front Panel
Line Power on but no LED indicators.
Line Fuse Failed. Check rear panel line
receptacle. Verify that the line voltage selector
is set to the proper line voltage.
Voltage
No Voltage Output, error indication.
Distorted output.
Voltage Output unstable.
No voltage at output terminals but voltage at
sense terminals.
Other problems.
Check Fuse F1 and F2 on the rear panel.
If fuses have not failed, refer to rectifier load
instructions, paragraph 2.5
Check line Synch. operation versus selected
output frequency. i.e. 60Hz line will not be able
to Synch. to a 50Hz front panel selection.
F7 open. See schematic 08-107-001.
Refer to Paragraph 4.5.3.
Current
No current output. Error Indication.
Other problems.
Check F3 and F4 on rear panel. Check that V-
A value has been entered and current value
calculated.
Refer to Paragraph 4.5.4.
Standby-Operate Function
Failure to respond to Operate function.
Check to see if error LED is illuminated.
Correct error condition by ensuring that setting
does not exceed 750V or 50A. Also, ensure
that computed current is not less than 10.1mA.
Overload
Delayed overload.
Immediate overload.
Check burden placed on voltage terminals and
compare to specifications.
Check compliance on current terminals and
compare to specifications. Also check the
tightness of connections in the current leads.
Phase
Phase unstable. Error indication.
Other problems.
Adjust R40 on 08-119-001, Current Oscillator.
Refer to paragraph 4.5.6.
Line Synchronization
Line Synchronization. function inoperative.
Refer to paragraph 4.6.7.
