3 • Switching on your steam
generator
Press on the on / off switch - fig.4, it
begins flashing.
The green "Steam
ready" and "Temperature ready" indicator
lights on the control panel blink.
When starting, and regularly while it is
being used, your steam generator's
electric pump injects water into the boiler.
It makes a noise but this is quite normal.
The steam generator is ready for ironing
when the "Steam ready" and "Temperature
ready" indicator lights are lit continuously.

When one of the green indicator lights
on your control panel blinks (Steam
ready and/or Temperature ready) this
means that your steam generator is not
yet ready to iron the selected type of
fabric. Once all of the indicator lights are
lit continuously, your steam generator
has reached the correct temperature and
can provide the appropriate amount of
steam to iron the selected type of fabric.
An audible beep will confirm to you
when the steam generator is ready.

Using your steam generator
Move the cursor - fig.5 to the type of
fabric you wish to iron, see table below.
To obtain steam, press on the steam
control button beneath the iron handle
and keep it pressed

Always spray starch on the reverse side
of the fabric to be ironed.
The first time the appliance is used,
there may be some fumes and smell but
this is not harmful. They will not affect
use and will disappear quickly.
USE
Recommendations: To prime the steam
circuit, either before using the iron for
the first time, or if you have not used
the steam function for a few minutes,
press the steam control button several
times in a row - fig.8, holding the iron
away from your clothes. This will
enable any cold water to be removed
from the steam circuit.
Fabric type selection: Start with fabrics
to be ironed at a low temperature and
finish with those which need higher
temperatures. Be careful if you start
ironing with fabric-types that are ironed
at high temperatures, for it may take a
while for the iron to cool down. To
speed up the cooling process, you can
press the steam control button holding
the iron away from your clothes to cool
the iron faster. Every time you change
the type of fabrid ironed, wait until the
temperature ready indicators remain lit.
When ironing fabric made of mixed
fibres always use the selection that
matches the most fragile fibre. Woollen
garments: press repeatedly on the
