Power to the infotainment system will
continue to operate for up to
10 minutes or until the driver door is
opened.
Power to the power windows and sun‐
roof will continue to operate for up to
10 minutes or until any door is
opened.
Starting the engine
■ The remote control unit needs to be
in the passenger compartment.
■ Automatic transmission: press and
hold brake pedal and move selector
lever in P or N.
■ Manual transmission: press and
hold clutch pedal.
■ Push Start/Stop button to start the
engine.
■ Do not press accelerator pedal
while starting.
Switching off the engine
■ Push Start/Stop button while en‐
gine is running and vehicle station‐
ary to switch off the engine.
■ In case of emergency the engine
can be switched off while the vehi‐
cle is running: push Start/Stop but‐
ton twice. When the engine is not
running, considerably more force is
needed to brake and steer.
Accessory power mode
Push Start/Stop button once without
pressing brake or clutch pedal:
accessory power mode is active, the
yellow LED in the button illuminates.
In this mode some electrical functions
are operable.
Ignition on power mode
Push and hold Start/Stop button for
3 to 5 seconds without pressing brake
or clutch pedal: Ignition on power
mode is active, the green LED in the
button illuminates. In this mode all
electrical functions are operable.
To start the engine from Ignition on
power mode, press brake pedal (au‐
tomatic transmission) or clutch pedal
(manual transmission) and push
Start/Stop button once more.
Notice
Do not put the remote control in the
luggage compartment or very close
to the Info-Display.
Remote Engine Start
If available, this feature allows the en‐
gine to be started from outside with
the remote control. This feature is
only available on vehicles with Auto‐
matic transmission.
The button O will be on the remote
control if the vehicle is equipped with
remote engine start.
