Fuel
Fuel for petrol engines
Only use unleaded fuel.
Use of the recommended fuel is an
important part of the proper mainte‐
nance of this vehicle.
To help keep the engine clean and
maintain optimum vehicle perform‐
ance, we recommend the use of gas‐
oline advertised as TOP TIER Deter‐
gent Gasoline. Look for the TOP TIER
label on the fuel pump to ensure gas‐
oline meets enhanced detergency
standards developed by auto compa‐
nies. A list of marketers providing
TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline can be
found at www.toptiergas.com.
Use fuel with the recommended oc‐
tane rating 3 244. Use of fuel with too
low an octane rating can reduce en‐
gine power and torque and slightly in‐
creases fuel consumption.
If the octane is less than 87, you may
get a heavy knocking noise when you
drive. If this occurs, use a gasoline
rated at 87 octane or higher as soon
