Unlocking
Pull an exterior door handle or press
the button under the tailgate molding.
All doors, load compartment and fuel
filler flap are unlocked.
The thumb may not touch the sensor
area on the door handle while unlock‐
ing.
Locking
Touch the sensor field of the exterior
door handle on one of the front doors.
All doors, load compartment and fuel
filler flap are locked.
If the driver's door is not closed prop‐
erly, the central locking system will
not work.
3 seconds must pass before the ve‐
hicle can be unlocked. Within this
time, it is possible to check whether
the vehicle is locked.
Notice
The passive entry system does not
lock the vehicle automatically.
The sensor fields in the door handles
must be kept clean to ensure unre‐
stricted functionality.
Unlocking and opening the
tailgate
Press button
x. The tailgate opens.
All other doors remain locked.
Remote control system: the tailgate
can also be opened manually by
pushing the button under the tailgate
molding, if the vehicle has been un‐
locked with the remote control.
